Topic: Windows Azure - Traffic Manager & Advanced Web role settings
Abstract: Windows Azure Traffic Manager enables you to manage and distribute incoming traffic to your Windows Azure hosted services whether they are deployed in the same data center or in different centers across the world. In this talk we will explore different load balancing policies available in Traffic Manager and how we can use them to enhance performance, increase availability, and balance traffic to your hosted services. .
Speaker Bio:Udaiappa Ramachandran is a Chief Architect at Ektron, Inc., He holds a BS in Mathematics and MS in computer applications from Madurai Kamaraj University, India. He has over 13 years of experience working on a wide variety of software projects and products. He is also a NH community Leader/speaker on .NET, SQL and Azure technologies.

Our first meeting in the new digs is Feb 15th with Microsoft’s Chris Bowen unveiling Windows 8.
Chris will have a lot to say the about new Metro stuff and what Windows 8 means to the developer community.
We’re also cranking the Deep Dives.
While not yet confirmed the first one likely to be on “VS 11 with and without Windows 8”. Deep Dives are not instructor led.
A small team of a dozen or so will figure out what’s under the hood, starting from the published demos, docs, and Hands on labs. We’ll be taking about 5-6 hours after lunch some weekday. (Most likely a Thursday and most likely in Hampton.)

Topic: XBOX/KINECT using .NET framework SDK NHDN Concord RSVP
Description:
More and more, interaction with a computer is done without a keyboard. Users interact with software via touch, voice, and now... motion. We will explore the recently released SDK for the Microsoft Kinect. The various components of the device (skeletal capture, depth perception, video, and speech) can now be exploited via the .NET framework on Windows PCs. We'll also explore the business applications that can be leveraged with the device.

Phil Denoncourt is a .NET consultant, who over the past 10 years has developed a wide range of .NET applications and has over 20 years experience writing software. He speaks at many venues in the New England Area on a variety of development topics. Phil is certified in a host of .NET Technologies including Team Foundation Server, Windows Communication Framework, SQL Server 2008, and ASP.NET. When not spending time with his wife and children, Phil is an avid fan of Boston teams.
